I used this project to teach myself the pen tool in Adobe Illustrator. Learning how the pen tool functions let me be more efficient in creating designs. I created three 11” x 17” posters with each poster inspired by the Pirates of the Caribbean movies.
Working with the pen tool I was able to add more detail into each poster. I designed each poster using monochromatic colors so that each one could work by itself or as a whole piece. Using the pen tool I created more complex shapes, and manipulated anchor points and curves in Adobe Illustrator.
